Within Group Operations, under the Group CIO, the Group Technology Office defines and leads the Group’s technology vision and strategy to enable innovation and growth, ensure service quality, and align with business priorities. It also plans transformation and adoption strategies, including defining enterprise and application architecture to adopt new technologies and market solutions.
Major initiatives like ATLAS, One Workplace, OneID, One Network, and Global API-M are areas where the Technology Office ensures strategic convergence, alignment, and architecture discipline.
The Infrastructure Technology Office oversees infrastructure components such as Workplace, IAM, Cloud, Network, and global platforms like API and Security. The Workplace and IAM Architecture team focuses on analyzing and designing around Workplace and IAM ecosystems, with the IAM Architect Expert owning identity and access management subjects.
JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Group’s Technology Office, the Architecture Expert (Solution Architect) provides architectural vision, governance, and strategic problem-solving across business, security, data, application, and technology domains. This role manages and coordinates architectural work related to transversal workplace topics, collaborating with architects across domains and entities to ensure alignment with the IT strategy and support AXA’s transformation into a Tech Led Company.
The Architect Expert understands Group business strategies and anticipates future IT industry directions, producing key architecture deliverables, leading international workgroups, and reviewing project architectures within their domain.
The expertise required includes:
* Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management architecture, including governance, authentication, privilege access, Active Directory, and large-scale IGA deployment projects.
* Experience with federated authentication platforms and complex IT environments.
* Understanding of legacy and modern workplace ecosystems.
Additional preferred expertise involves security and risk management projects and experience in regulated environments.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
The role aims to build sustainable, robust, and secure Information Systems that deliver business value and align with strategic goals. The main activity involves shaping the IT Strategy and implementing it through the Target Enterprise Architecture, supporting key projects as needed.
Core responsibilities include:
* Supporting and managing the company's technology vision and strategy;
* Participating in governance and community activities to ensure solutions conform to group standards and long-term interests;
* Understanding entity contexts and standards, including security and regulatory requirements;
* Developing and maintaining architecture models, blueprints, and governance processes;
* Engaging in industry trend analysis and technology evaluation;
* Supporting procurement and large negotiations.
Within IAM, the Architect Expert contributes to ongoing deployment programs like “One Identity” and supports onboarding of new entities, handling design activities across multiple IAM projects.
Technical Skills
* Expertise in Entra ID (Azure AD), Ping Technology stack, Savyint IGA, Active Directory, and related ecosystems;
* Knowledge of enterprise authorization models, privileged access, and integration techniques (LDAP/AD, REST APIs, SCIM, Mainframe).
Soft Skills
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills;
* Visionary with the ability to articulate and debate architectural strategies;
* Open-minded, curious, and able to foster consensus;
* Problem-solving, analytical, and organizational awareness;
* Effective in international environments with proficiency in English.
Experience
* University degree (engineering or equivalent);
* Over 8 years in IT strategy and solution architecture, especially large IAM projects;
* Experience leading transformation initiatives in complex, international environments;
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines;
* Collaborative team player with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement.
