Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Contract Manager/Claim Consultant in the construction sector, based in East Africa. Responsibilities include managing contracts throughout project lifecycles, identifying and mitigating risks, providing advice to clients on contractual obligations, and supporting claim preparation and dispute resolution. The role requires preparing, reviewing, and negotiating variations, claims, and commercial agreements while adhering to legal and regulatory standards Collaboration with project teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes is a key part of the role.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or master's in Civil Engineering
* 8 to 10 years of experience as a Contract Manager or Claim Consultant in the construction industry
* Proficient in English at a professional level
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, contract law, and industry‑specific regulations
* Expertise in claim management, including analysis, preparation, and negotiation
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and assess complex contractual issues
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities to effectively interact with project teams and stakeholders
* Ideally holds qualifications such as MRICS, CIOB, or CIArb
* Relocation to East Africa is required
