What Can You Expect?

And you might be wondering: What will my day-to-day look like at Zurich? I’m glad you asked.

As an Investment Accounting & Reporting Director, you will have the opportunity to:

* Coordinate globally and own processes related to all functional accounting in Alternative Assets & Fund solutions .
* Manage AI community/Product managers on all functional accounting matters for Private Debt & Equity, Real Estate, and Hedge Funds.
* Analyze new private/illiquid investment requests, their setup, and derive accounting and reporting implications across all systems.
* Ensure compliant setup and high-quality service delivery across IAA’s organization with faster implementation times.
* Design, review, and refine processes, controls, and models, applying industry best practices and considering new technology solutions to minimize user impact. Lead communication and oversee adoption.
* Collaborate with valuation experts and asset managers to ensure effective data delivery and procedures.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
* Drive standardization and automation, measuring progress with KPIs.
* Maintain and develop knowledge bases, documentation, and tools to upskill teams and partners.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

While we’re not seeking perfection, if you meet some of these criteria, you’ll be a great addition to our team. We are waiting for you!

* Master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Markets & Risks, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent postgraduate studies (CFA, CAIA preferred).
* At least 3 years of experience in Alternative Asset accounting in a senior role.
* Experience in Financial Statements analysis and Fund accounting for private debt/equity.
* Knowledge of general ledger systems (SAP FI GL/FIP advantageous).
* Understanding of financial instruments accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
* Understanding of financial markets, products, risks, and regulations, especially RAIF, ELTIF, LLC structures.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
* Experience leading or managing 3-5 projects or optimization initiatives in financial accounting or consolidation.
* Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
* Basic understanding of financial mathematics.
* IT affinity, including use of artificial intelligence, data science, and analysis tools.
