Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef at Porvapor Nordic Spa, located in Barcelona. The Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing Nordic-inspired tapas and menus, collaborating with the culinary team to ensure the highest quality standards and an exceptional dining experience. Day-to-day tasks include menu planning, ingredient sourcing, supervising kitchen operations, ensuring hygiene and safety protocols, and collaborating with the wellness team to create a holistic wellness dining experience. Attention to detail, a passion for culinary arts, and adaptability to the multicultural environment are essential to succeed in this role.
Qualifications
* Experience with menu planning and food presentation techniques
* Kitchen management skills, including team supervision, scheduling, and quality control
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Creativity and attention to detail in designing menus aligned with the concept
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
* Fluency in English (required); proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
* Previous experience in high-end or luxury dining establishments is highly desirable
* Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification
