Job Description:
Santander Consumer Finance HQ is seeking a Digital Operational Resilience Risk Analyst based in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), Spain.
Responsibilities:
* Promote effective management of operational risk, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
* Ensure governance and management of risk processes across the 1st line of defense, including Risk Control Self-Assessment and internal control exercises.
* Oversee and evaluate KPIs and KRIs related to operational resilience.
* Analyze internal data for deviations, fraud trends, and advise on preventive measures.
* Coordinate scenario analysis exercises and workshops.
* Alert senior management to operational risks or violations of risk appetite.
* Maintain and document internal regulations, and streamline normative workflows.
* Challenge new products, projects, or third-party services to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
* Manage risks threatening critical operations, including business continuity and third-party dependency planning.
Experience:
3-5 years in operational and emerging risks management, governance, and control frameworks, with proven expertise in developing risk & compliance frameworks.
Education:
Academic qualifications in STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration. Risk professional certification is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Programming skills (VB, SQL, Python).
* Data management.
* Advanced MS Office / Power BI skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Results-oriented, curious, innovative, and detail-oriented.
* Knowledge of retail and consumer business, operations, and payments is a plus.
* Understanding of regulatory environment.
Other Information:
* Fluent in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus.
* Occasional travel may be required.
Supports operational risk management activities across functions or specific risk areas, demonstrating deep understanding of company activities, products, processes, and risks.
