Implement the health, safety and environment strategy in a plant and manage a staff of professionals. Ensure site achieves Suominen targets and has 100% compliance with all procedures, regulations and laws. Deal with demanding health, safety and environment management activities that have some impact on the function's strategy and provide senior level expertise. Responsible for ISO14001, ISO45001 & ISO50001.
Competence
Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years experience in similar job; English B2; Management Systems Skills (ISO).
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Promote a strong safety and quality culture where both safety and quality are core values of everyone at Suominen. Ensure full compliance to all Safety and Quality related policies, procedures and practices. Ensure that core principles are being recognized as permanent and transcend priorities.
2. Lead, develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and projects and develop resources in the health, safety and environment processes.
3. Lead implementation of new regulations, all audits and regulatory inspections and facilitate gap closings from these.
4. Develop and define the appropriate and adequate procedures and measures of control for operational processes and conduct risk assessments of these operational processes to meet regional/country specific needs, norms and regulations.
5. Monitor through inspections that both regulations and policies and local releases and environment plans are followed and fulfilled.
6. Develop and support robust audit programs for relevant processes.
7. Coordinate and facilitate health, safety and environment training for employees to ensure all individuals have the required level of knowledge and transfer best practices. Manage and investigate incidents effectively.
8. Liaise with and influence relevant internal/external stakeholders and advocate HSE mindset across the organization. xpzdshu
9. Contribute actively in Suominen Best Practice team(s) network to take benefits of wider HSE community and also contribute to it.
10. Implement and ensure adherence to Operations Core Principles.
11. Implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement systems as ISO 14001, ISO45001, ISO50001.
