Construction services project manager

The Construction Services Project Manager is responsible for driving customer satisfaction by acting as the main focal point during all stages of a turnkey project for GE Healthcare Imaging equipment installation. Success will be achieved by applying a consultative, problem-solving, and customer-focused approach from the pre-order stages and project scoping to the delivery and installation of the equipment, using best practice project management methodologies. Leadership skills will be essential in engaging vendors and suppliers, resolving issues, and maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout multiple projects.

Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Support sales teams as the construction turnkey and installation projects focal point during site assessments and tender responses.
2. Drive an outstanding customer experience and project efficiency through constant communication, site scoping & presence, vendor engagement, and creative problem solving.
3. Support ideas, designs, vendors, site availability and access, including scope, budgets, and scheduling from initial idea stages through final acceptance by the customer.
4. Act as a business partner and primary liaison between customer property managers, design teams, and installation contractors for turnkey construction projects, facilitating and coordinating activities to ensure projects are completed on time, successfully, and in alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
5. Create and document the Project Scope of Works, and take ownership of project changes, ensuring they are processed, formalized, and approved within the agreed timeframes.
6. Responsible for completing turnkey project closeout reports, identifying lessons learned, schedule/cost variances, causes, and areas for improvement.
7. Conduct regular meetings with client personnel throughout design, construction, delivery, startup, performance testing, and final acceptance phases until full handover.
8. Develop and manage relationships with key local builders and 3rd party vendors.
9. Ensure compliance and proper documentation of all safety requirements.
10. Analyze customer needs and operations to incorporate these into estimates for additional services, offerings, or features of our comprehensive Turnkey Project Scope.
11. Provide knowledge of drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and scheduling, acting as customer support for construction/project inquiries and decisions.
12. Facilitate design, procurement, and construction drawing documentation in collaboration with the design center.
13. Track, compile, and organize data to generate business intelligence reports from a construction project perspective.


Quality Specific Goals

Comply with GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations. Complete all planned quality and compliance training, report quality concerns, and take corrective actions. Ensure accuracy and configuration integrity at order entry, and drive continuous improvement in processes and work instructions.


Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial) or Architecture.
* Background in architecture or construction contracting.
* Experience in hospital construction.
* Project management experience delivering complex and technical projects.
* Experience with large-scale project management in construction, healthcare, IT, or medical equipment sectors.
* Strong time management skills and ability to work independently on multiple projects.
* Technical expertise in health and safety, compliance, and sector regulations.
* Customer service experience in construction environments.


Additional Skills and Characteristics

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; communicate complex issues clearly; negotiate with stakeholders; possess a valid driver's license; demonstrate business acumen; work independently; and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Formal coursework in project management and proficiency in MS Project, Salesforce, AutoCAD, and BIM are preferred.
