**Job Summary**:
All aspects of daily Operations, from the moment a job is created, processing and monitoring through to its delivery to final consignee. This will include: preparation customs declarations for non EU shipments, monitor flight arrival of intra-EU shipments, preparation of documents for shipments requiring clearance, providing sending instructions, contacting airlines to follow up on recovery and replenishment, use of a variety of IT systems, external communication with service providers and internal communications within the network. The holder of this position must fill all her obligations in a correct, timely, rapid and cost-efficient manner, using EDI dec for custom declarations

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**

The holder of this position may coordinate and perform the following tasks:

- Handle import of various inbound - outbound shipments: prepare customs documents, prepare using TARIC app, preparing custom files and handle custom procedures.
- Pre-shipment enquiries for shipments requiring specialist clearance and issuing of sending instructions, based on “Ok to send” WC procedure.
- Communicate with customers other WC offices on customs clearance instructions in accordance with WC and Spanish rules & regulations.
- Follow up various shipments including inbound and ourbound transit and its details: paperwork, topping up of dry ice, gel pack replenishment etc.
- Enter airfreight and customs charges in contact with accounting department
- AEAT deposit guarantee control
- Report and follow up on missing shipments.
- External communication with clients, Customs and other regulatory bodies and service providers: airlines, handling agents,
- Internal communication with dispatch, drivers and colleagues within the World Courier network.
- Specialist clearance of specific goods such as PHARMA, BIO, CITES, Dual Use, Live Animals, Opiates and Narcotics,
- Communicate with customs and follow up on clearance issues, attending requirements and physical inspections if needed.
- Strict adherence to internal procedures both department specific and company specific, the latter being defined by SOP’s and Ops memos.
- Custom electronic and physical archive maintenance
- Works securely with all pertinent regulations as well as the relevant laws and ordinances.
- The holder of this position is obligated to perfom, in addition to the above described tasks, individual tasks assigned by her superiors, which are to be seen by their nature as part of her work area, or wich arise out of necessity.

¨ Custom representative certificate will be valuable, but it is not mandatory.

**Experience and Education Requirements**
- Be fluent in Spanish and English (other languages are beneficial but not essential)
- Have gained experience in the logistics sector (Custom Broker and Freight Forwarding business strongly preferred)
- Experience with customs documentation for biopharmaceutical products would be a benefit.
- Have an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and other IT programs.
- Previous pharmaceutical or other time critical freight forwarding experience preferred.
