Role Overview We have an exciting opportunity for an AI Engineer Intern to join our team on an industrial placement as part of their university degree. This role is starting in September 2026 and will focus on helping organi s ations leverage the power of AI to increase efficiency, improve productivity and turn ideas into tangible solutions. This is an ideal role for people who are passionate about using cutting edge technology to improve processes and outcomes, want to take part in the creation of bespoke AI solution s and are interested in how AI is embedded into organisations. As a member of FSP’s AI Engineering team, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions using Microsoft Azure. This placement offers two different pathways: Machine Learning : You will focus on the development and training of custom models and their management and lifecycle, data cleaning to the automated orchestration of model s and inference. Some of the key technologies and languages you will use include ML Workspace, Microsoft Foundry, Databricks and Python. Custom Solutions: You will join a team focus ed on the development of bespoke AI -d r iven solutions, participating in every stage of the software development lifecycle. Some of the key technologies and programming languages we use include Webapps, databases, C, React, Microsoft Foundry, Open AI. In both pathways you will learn how we turn an idea into a productionised solution. This role works closely with colleagues and clients in the UK, so fluency in English is a prerequisite. Responsibilities Work as part of the wider FSP project team to deliver AI solutions to clients Assist in defining business requirements for AI solutions Develop high quality AI products utilising (primarily) cloud native patterns Work together with our Data Platforms and Solutions and AI Advisory team s to provide full Data & AI products Support AI solutions through UAT to Production Learn the latest technology developments and promote these within your projects Share knowledge as part of the FSP technical community About you Strong maths and analytical skills Passionate about technology Able to manipulate large datasets Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people Good level of competency in C# or Python An understanding of how different types of databases work Fluent in English Starting or within the final year of university (degree to be completed 2027) What w e l ook for in o ur i nterns Alignment with FSP values and a collaborative mindset A proactive and curious approach to learning and development Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good organisation and attention to detail Pride in producing high-quality work Enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive team culture Who are FSP?
