We're expanding our team at Alén Space and are looking for a space system engineer with a passion for what you do, talented and experienced, to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
You will be part of the Electronic Development Area, which is responsible for designing electronic devices and products for the space segment, ground segment, and support tools (GSE). You will be responsible for the design and verification of new electronic products primarily based on embedded systems.
What you will be doing?
* Analysis of high-level mission requirements.
* High-level design of electronic devices based on microcontrollers, FPGAs, and radio transceivers.
* Component selection and procurement assistance.
* Schematic and PCB design.
* Design and execution of verification plans.
* Prototype testing and formal product acceptance.
* Generation of documentation related to the designed products.
* Evaluation and implementation of customized modifications to Alén Space's existing products.
* Providing technical support to the sales team, including client meetings during decision-making phases.
* Providing technical support to the after-sales team, including customer meetings.
* Participating in technical follow-up meetings and reporting progress to the project manager.
What do we need in our team?
* Fluency in English.
* At least two years of experience in electronic design.
* Knowledge of digital, analog, and power electronics design.
* Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) software such as Altium Designer.
* Experience with basic (multimeter, oscilloscope) and advanced (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer) test equipment.
Valuable knowledge:
* High-density PCB design (>4 layers).
* Experience in signal integrity for high-speed designs.
* Design for EMC compatibility.
* Knowledge of test development tools: embedded C, C++, Python, Bash, Git.
* Knowledge of ECSS standards.
