The Challenge
As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Wallapop, your challenge will be to play a leadership role in designing, developing, and maintaining a complete data infrastructure and make it easily accessible to the entire domain team looking for synergies across Wallapop to amplify the impact of the data.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure, including integrating and consolidating data from multiple sources for advanced analytics.
* Evaluate and select external analytics tools, platforms, and technologies to support advanced analytics capabilities.
* Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports to provide data‑driven insights to stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify their data needs and drive scalable data‑driven solutions.
* Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior team members.
* Document analytics processes and establish clear practices for analytics tools to ensure long‑term team scalability and easy onboarding.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Python and SQL, combined with a solid understanding of big data technologies.
* Strong coding skills and the ability to write maintainable, performant code.
* Proven expertise with ETL processes, data integration, and building reliable data pipelines.
* Strong knowledge of cloud‑based environments, ideally AWS.
* Experience developing interactive dashboards and data insights using Business Intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau.
* Advanced knowledge of data analytics concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data issues.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead and work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish, manage timelines effectively, and deliver high‑quality work.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship.
* Experience with project management, including managing timelines, resources, and delivering high‑quality work within deadlines.
