Position summary
The Retail Marketing Specialist is the first point of contact for all DOTS (Direct Owned Trek Stores) Store Managers for their region and their network of IBDs. Owning marketing planning and execution to drive awareness, footfall and ultimately sales through cost-effective marketing activity on a local level. Together with the Subsidiary Marketing Manager they transfer learnings and activities from DOTS into the wider IBD retailer network.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the execution of retail marketing activities for your territory across key accounts / IBD’s, including campaign rollout, asset delivery, instore materials and retailer coaching. Work with your key retailers to create Trek marketing plan & identify collab marketing opportunities ensuring brand alignment, ROI and inventory levels are front-of-mind
2. Act as the main point of contact on all retail marketing topics for Store Managers (SMs) District Managers (DMs), Territory Managers and the wider marketing team. You will be on-site and visiting the DOTS/IBDs in your Territory with DMs regularly to build relationships and drive improvement in their marketing activities
3. Review and process all DOTS/IBD local marketing requests from SMs, DM’s and TMs
4. Own quarterly marketing reviews for each store – maintaining a focus on footfall and sales-driving activities throughout
5. Be the Lead List expert for both DOTS and Ascend IBDs – actively demonstrating, coaching and driving lead list usage on-site during every visit
6. Management and activation of local retailer ambassador initiatives in your territory
7. Own and manage the advocacy and marketing SR/Community
8. Act as market expert and liaison for key media & brand associations, including supporting product launches
9. Own Trek University engagement and communications in the market
DOTS Specific
10. Build the annual marketing plan individually for each DOTS (if present in the market) ensuring maximum ROI for all marketing spend and effort
11. Regularly review and manage the DOTS local marketing budgets for all stores in your region – staying within agreed budget limits at all times
12. Own the organic social review process across all stores, and give guidance and coaching where needed
13. Grow and engage the local DOTS email lists through on-site data capture training and best practices, through to producing engaging local email which address business needs
14. Primary focus on Spanish DOTS stores
Requierements
15. Position based at the Tres Cantos office in Madrid
16. Availability to travel
17. Fluent in Spanish, English and French, further language skills an advantage
18. Proven experience as a Retail Marketing position
19. Experience in cycling sector and knowledge of this sport will be considered an asset
20. Experience in event organization
