Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead AXA Partners’ Barcelona travel medical team of nurses and doctors to deliver 24/7 international medical assistance. You will act as the local clinical expert for complex cases, ensure high-quality medical care, and supervise the team while coordinating with integral AXA units. You’ll drive clinical governance, case review, and continuous improvement in service delivery. This position offers the opportunity to shape medical operations, scaling telemedicine and emergency services within a global network.

• Lead and supervise the medical team, ensuring 24/7 coverage and adherence to procedures for international medical assistance
• Evaluate and oversee patient care quality, identify training needs, and provide consultative support during daily case reviews
• Act as medical lead in case review meetings and advise on optimal repatriation plans when needed
• Maintain effective communication with operational coordinators and agents; ensure accurate medical records in the company system
• Provide clinical governance guidance and participate in escalation processes for delicate cases and crises
• Support strategic development of medical services (tele-consultation, corporate mobility, second opinions) and contribute to process digitalization and cost reduction initiatives
Responsabilidades
• Doctor diploma
• At least 10 years of clinical experience
• Minimum 5 years in critical settings (ITU, Au0026E, internal medicine with critical care)
• Ideally experience in worldwide medical assistance or disaster medicine
• Current professional registration
• Maintains currency in clinical practice
• Knowledge of indications/contraindications of medical transport, especially aeromedical
• Experience managing teams of professionals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to take on cross-functional challenges and act as a change agent; drive toward business targets
• Negotiation level (C1) of Spanish and English; French a plus
