An international Asset Management firm is looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager for its Madrid offices. Reporting to senior management, the selected candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:Risk Management1. Enterprise Risk Management Framework:- Develop and maintain the company enterprise risk management framework in line with Parent Company Global’s policies and industry best practices.- Ensure the framework is comprehensive, up-to-date, and effectively integrated into company operations.2. Risk Identification and Assessment:- Identify and assess risks across company.- Develop and maintain a top risk profile for company, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.3. Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA):- Lead the design and implementation of RCSA processes for 1st line teams.- Provide guidance and tools to help teams identify, assess, and manage risks effectively.4. Operational Incident Management:- Oversee operational incident management processes, including impact assessment, root cause analysis, and action plan delivery.- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.Compliance:1. Regulatory Horizon Scanning:- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to identify emerging regulations and industry trends.- Lead the implementation of new regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and effective compliance.2. Compliance Monitoring Programme:- Design and deliver the annual compliance monitoring programme for Company Spain and UK, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies.- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor compliance and address any gaps or issues.- Coordinate and liaise with the Compliance Officers of the UK parent company to ensure consistency of approach and share best practices.Other:- Collate required information and produce associated reporting to the parent Group.- Liaise directly with the parent Group in particular on Information/Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Financial Crime policy compliance.- Oversee sub-servicers and critical suppliers in line with internal policy.Required skills and experience (M/F/D):- 8+ years of experience in a risk / compliance role within a financial or asset management institution.- Proven experience in risk management and compliance within financial services, professional services, or broader business services.- Strong understanding of best practices in risk management and compliance.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish- Relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
