Web Developer Job Description
This role contributes to the programming output of the team or project area. They will undertake development and testing of standard modules and make amendments to more complex modules. In addition, they will provide mentoring for more junior staff members.
Software Development & Maintenance
* Implement accurate, reliable, and timely code according to specifications to deliver functionality.
* Design and implement unit tests to validate correct functionality.
* Write documentation that meets development process standards.
* Review code written by others.
Technical Design
* Participate in component and software design with Architects and Senior Engineers, providing input to design documentation.
* Contribute to solution design to understand the technical vision of Experian products.
* Translate business needs into technical requirements and specifications.
Personal Development
* Contribute to personal development plans for growth targets.
* Share knowledge within the team and with peers from other teams and management.
Teamwork
* Share findings and collaborate effectively.
* Use corporate tools for time logging, holiday, and work backup.
* Report regularly to managers and stakeholders.
* Contribute to creating standards and processes.
Responsibilities
Expected responsibilities include:
* Create and implement layouts for web pages.
* Maintain legacy code and fix bugs.
* Perform database queries and connect results to applications.
* Integrate external libraries and APIs.
* High-level knowledge in Web Analytics (Google Analytics) and SEO is required.
