Who We Are
Si sus habilidades, experiencia y cualificaciones coinciden con las de esta descripción del puesto, no demore su solicitud.
At Balance (findbalance.app), we're building the clinical operating system for obesity treatment — combining medical rigor, AI intelligence, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver personalized treatment at scale.
In Spain alone, 200,000 people on GLP-1 medications today will grow to 1.2 million by 2030, most without access to proper clinical support. We're fixing that. We've proven our approach works and we have just closed our Seed Series funding. Join us if you're obsessed with outcomes, not vanity metrics — and ready to help thousands of patients actually see results and feel better.
About the role
We're looking for a generalist, comfortable wearing many hats (UX, UI, research, sometimes frontend coding). We need a strong product thinker, focused on user needs and business metrics over pure visual aesthetics. You must be someone who can do (design with full autonomy as an individual contributor) and think (raise the bar for the entire design function). Someone who understands that UX in healthcare isn't just usability — it's adherence, trust, and behavior change.
What you will do
As an individual contributor:
* Design flows, screens, and interactions for the patient app and clinical dashboard, from discovery through delivery
* Translate clinical and product requirements into clear, empathetic, and usable experiences
* Maintain high design quality in a fast-iteration environment
As a leader:
* Collaborate across mixed profiles (product, clinical, marketing, engineering, partners)
* Facilitate co-design sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the company
* Be the design voice in cross-functional conversations
* Take strategic, end-to-end ownership of the design process and actively set up the foundation for future design hiring
As a design system owner:
* Establish design principles and standards the team can apply independently
* Lead the design and maintenance of our design system — components, tokens, documentation, governance
* Identify and prioritize systemic usability and visual quality improvements across the platform
As a fervent patients’ advocate:
* Professionalize our research function: methodologies, cadence, synthesis, and connection to product decisions
* Conduct interviews, usability tests, and contextual studies with patients and the clinical team
* Build an insights repository that continuously feeds the roadmap
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
* 5+ years of UX/product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work
* Demonstrated ability to link design decisions directly to measurable business or clinical outcomes (e.g., adherence rates, conversion, retention).
* Experience building or evolving a design system in production
* Strong command of Figma and prototyping and user testing tools
* Real familiarity with AI-assisted workflows — generative tools, accelerated prototyping, or integrating language models into design processes
* Native or fluent Spanish; professional-level English — we read, write, and debate in both languages
Nice-to-haves:
* Ability to conduct research rigorously and connect findings to product decisions
* Working knowledge xpzdshu of HTML/CSS/modern frontend concepts for effective communication with engineers
* Experience in service design or complex multi-actor systems like 2-sided marketplaces
* Experience mentoring or managing people (even informally)
* Prior work in health, wellness, or behavior change products
* Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
What we offer
* Competitive salary based on experience
* Work hybridly from our Madrid offices or remotely from anywhere in Spain
* Impact since day one: the work you do here shapes the experience of thousands of patients
* Solve a real problem with real consequences: obesity is the most underestimated epidemic of our time
* Genuine autonomy and ownership — no layers of design bureaucracy
* A team that believes design isn't decoration but a clinical and competitive advantage
* Opportunity to adopt frontier AI on internal workflows and patient-facing features
Sector
* Salud pública
