About the Role
At ExperienceFirst, our guides do more than lead tours — they host experiences.
We are looking for exceptional guides in Granada who can create thoughtful, memorable moments for travellers from around the world. Our guides combine deep local knowledge with warmth, intuition, and professionalism to ensure every guest feels welcomed, engaged, and cared for.
Rather than delivering scripted tours, our guides curate experiences. They read the room, adapt naturally to each group, and bring the destination to life through conversation, storytelling, and genuine connection.
If you love your city and enjoy sharing it with curious travellers in a thoughtful and engaging way, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
ExperienceFirst Guides are the face of our brand. You will:
* Lead small to medium-sized tour groups through carefully designed routes and experiences
* Share the history, culture, and stories of the city in a conversational and engaging way
* Create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for guests from diverse backgrounds
* Manage tour logistics smoothly, including guest check-in and timing
* Adapt pacing and storytelling based on group interests and energy
* Work closely with the operations team to ensure tours run smoothly
* Represent ExperienceFirst with professionalism before, during, and after each tour
Who We're Looking For
Our best guides combine knowledge, intuition, and hospitality.
Key qualities include:
* Natural hosting ability — you make people feel comfortable and included
* Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with international groups
* Emotional intelligence — the ability to read a group and adapt the experience accordingly
* Curiosity and expertise about the city’s history, culture, and daily life
* Professional composure and the ability to adapt when plans change
* Attention to detail and pride in delivering a polished experience
We value guides who see themselves not just as storytellers, but as curators of memorable travel experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
While not always required, the following are highly valued:
* Licensed city guide credentials (where applicable)
* Academic background in history, art history, architecture, gastronomy, or related fields
* Previous experience guiding tours or working in hospitality
* Strong English-language skills (additional languages are a plus)
* Deep personal connection to the city or neighbourhoods you guide in
What We Offer
* Competitive pay per tour as an independent contractor
* Flexible scheduling based on availability and seasonality
* Opportunities to grow with a rapidly expanding global tour company
* A collaborative community of passionate guides and travel professionals
* The chance to share a city you love with travellers from around the world
Many of our team members — including senior leaders — began as guides.
