ABEI ENERGY is a leading International Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to generating clean and renewable energy from diverse sources, including photovoltaic, green hydrogen, concentrated solar power (CSP), biomethane, wind, hydroelectric, and cogeneration technologies. With a rapidly expanding presence in Spain and key international markets such as the USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Poland, we are seeking a highly motivated Head of Energy Solutions Business Development to create a new business line in ABEI ENERGY.
Location: Madrid, Spain
About the Role:
As Head of Energy Solutions, you will be a senior executive responsible for leading and managing the growth initiatives of a company within the energy sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, developing innovative energy solutions, and ensuring the company meets its financial and operational goals.
Responsibilities:
* Energy Services Procurement: Contracting with energy consumers for comprehensive energy management, including Grid, Supply Chain, and energy solutions to meet electricity demand. Additionally, providing support in supply procurement, power optimization, and virtual PPAs.
* Project Management and Client Portfolio: Identifying, negotiating, closing new projects, developing, and maintaining a solid and diversified client portfolio.
* Energy Demand Development: Developing and managing our own energy demand, integrating innovative and sustainable solutions.
* Business Expansion: Expanding the customer base and increasing market share through effective business development strategies.
* Market Understanding: Gaining deep insights into customer needs and contributing to business development strategies.
Requirements:
* Graduate in Engineering (Chemical, Energy, Industrial) or a related field.
* 5+ years of business development experience in an electricity retailer or energy efficiency company. Positive valuation in real estate or data center sector developments.
* Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and profitability.
* Strong client management and negotiation skills, with a desire to maintain and grow client contracts.
* Solid commercial skills (B2B and B2C) with experience in drafting winning proposals and managing customer accounts.
* English C1 or higher.
* Availability for occasional international travel.
