Gobal Corporate Development & M&A Director
Multinational Tier 1 Automotive Supplier is looking for a M&A VP based in Madrid.
Collaborating closely with the finance M&A and the legal M&A teams, the VP ensures that strategic acquisitions and mergers drive growth and enhance the company’s competitive advantage in the automotive industry through significant technology, industrial, and commercial synergies.
Functions:
1. Leading M&A projects for strategic partners from early identification to complete integration, focusing on opportunities that align with the company's role in the automotive supply chain.
2. Defining a robust M&A strategy by identifying and classifying all technological, industrial, and commercial synergies through market opportunities.
3. Assessing the feasibility and interest of critical items to ensure successful future acquisitions: structuring, governance, IP management, rights.
4. Executing all phases from initiation, letter of intent, NBO, due diligence, BO, signing, closing, and effective integration within the company.
5. Managing and being responsible for integration and the delivery of expected synergies across all functions (engineering, manufacturing, supply procurement, commercial, legal, finance).
6. Coordinating internal resources, legal, and finance teams for due diligence, site visits, insights, and preparing syntheses and presentations for Strategy Committee and BOD approval.
7. Proposing and executing external growth strategies to expand the company's product portfolio, customer base, and geographical reach.
8. Building cross-functional relationships to foster a growth-focused mindset across the organization.
Requirements:
The VP should have extensive experience leading partnerships and M&A in a Tier 1 automotive setting, especially within complex, cross-continental organizations. This includes a deep understanding of the automotive supply chain, OEM relationships, technical and operational aspects, and emerging industry trends.
