Experteer OverviewAs Equipment Engineer, you contribute to deploying terminal equipment across new and existing sites, translating operational needs into robust technical specs and drawings. You will assess supplier proposals, drive cost/time efficiency, and ensure safe, automated, and digitized equipment integration. You collaborate with engineering, procurement, and terminals teams to support equipment design, reviews, and commissioning in a port environment. This role offers impact on global equipment standards and modernization efforts.
Compensaciones / Incentivos - Develop and update standard equipment specifications and ensure alignment with safety, operations, and performance needs - Collaborate on Employer's General Requirements to integrate safety, maintenance, automation, and asset digitization - Oversee type approval processes and maintain a global register of approved equipment systems/components - Support engineering projects including due diligences, business cases, scope definition for RFPs, and technical feasibility evaluations - Participate in tender teams, evaluate supplier proposals, and support design reviews - Serve as Equipment Engineering SPOC for assigned projects and assist in hiring/onboarding Equipment Managers - Coordinate with external consultants and manage cross-functional communication to deliver project goals - Provide input on retrofits focusing on electrification/hybrid initiatives and automation - Offer global support to terminals and procurement for technical improvements and innovation
Responsabilidades - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in equipment technical specs and project execution - Strong experience with heavy equipment in a port environment - Solid understanding of PLC, electrical diagrams, automation systems, hydraulics, mechanics, and steel structures - Proven international work experience - Excellent analytical, collaboration, and communication skills - Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-oriented - Safety-conscious and customer-oriented - Business-level English proficiency - MSc or BSc in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
