About the position
TECNUN, the Engineering School of the University of Navarra, through the Industrial Management Department, seeks to fill a tenured professor position as part of its academic staff to begin in September 2026.
As a member of the academic staff, the candidate will contribute to the University of Navarra’s three core tasks: research, education, and management. Thus, his/her role will consist primarily of academic research (50%), lecturing (40%), and services and management (10%).
With the support of the existing academic staff, successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Industrial Management Department. In addition to teaching responsibilities, candidates will actively contribute to the management and proper functioning of the department. They should demonstrate a strong research profile by publishing high-quality papers in reputable, indexed journals and show initiative in securing research funding through the development and submission of project proposals
Skills and qualifications required
* Candidates will be expected to hold a relevant doctoral-level research degree (or expected to finish in 2026)
* Hold a distinguished academic record, including internationally excellent research, demonstrating appropriate markers of academic recognition.
* Willingness to lecture on business administration and general management classes, in Spanish and English, to both national and international students for the Engineering programs
* Duties include teaching annually 16 ECTS and assisting with program development.
* Interest in the identity and mission of the University of Navarra. Knowledge and interest in the core values of the University of Navarra.
* Candidates will be expected to join one of the three existing research groups of the department.
* High-quality papers aligned with the research groups of the department are valued positively

The School of Engineering (Tecnun) (tecnun.unav.edu) has 1,200 students and is located in Donostia-San Sebastián, a beautiful city in the north of Spain, on the Basque coast. As an academic institution, we develop basic research in several fields of engineering, but we also carry out applied research in collaboration with Ceit, a non-profit research center that was created by the University of Navarra in 1982.
