Our Mobility segment is currently seeking a Lead Supplier Development Engineer for the Casting & Machining commodity
Main responsibilities:
- Works closely with the general SDE teams support new supplier sourcing with onsite quality/technical assessments based on Eaton audit forms and VDA, AIAG CQI standards
- Lead high risk supplier APQP process. Assure flawless launch and on-time PPAP delivery
- Support error proofing in early APQP stage through design & manufacturability reviews
- Lead initial supplier orientation including early APQP Supplier Training Program
- Monitor supplier risk & performance using lagging and leading indicators. Drive systemic quality improvements across dedicated commodity
- Coordinate and execute supplier onsite and remote audit plans
- Support development of dedicated supplier commodity strategy with cross functional team
- Work collaboratively with Eaton functions and suppliers on quality, delivery improvement programs using lean best practices and VAVE approach.
- Drive problem solving on High Impact supplier complains
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Quality or Operations Management from a nationally accredited institution
- Minimum 3-year experience using quality tools & methodologies (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, Problem solving, 8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5why, supplier onsite auditing)
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Subject matter expert for casting & machining commodity
- Deep knowledge of metallurgy and material engineering
- Certified auditor - VDA6.3
- Certified auditor - IATF
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Working toward or certified Six Sigma Green Belt
