We design and manufacture our own products, which allows the company to maintain full control over quality and innovation. With a global presence, we have subsidiaries in Italy, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, China, India, Morocco and Japan, and distributes its products to over 70 countries. At DOGA, we are looking for a Motor Control Firmware Engineer to join our Electronics team and contribute to the design and development of advanced motor control solutions. This role is focused on real-time control systems, combining firmware development, power electronics interfacing, and robust software architecture. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex systems in an international and collaborative environment, driving innovation and continuous improvement. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional, with a strong technical background and a hands-on mindset, capable of taking ownership from concept to implementation. Responsibilities Design and implement real-time control algorithms (FOC, BLDC, PMSM) Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, DSPs, automotive MCUs) Interface with power electronics components (inverters, drivers, ADCs, PWM modules) Optimize control loops ensuring deterministic timing, efficiency, and stability Perform signal acquisition and conditioning (current, voltage, position sensors such as encoders and Hall sensors) Debug and validate firmware using laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, motor test benches) Support hardware-software integration activities Collaborate within Agile/Scrum environments, taking ownership of tasks and contributing to project delivery Qualifications Strong programming skills in C for embedded systems (MISRA compliance is a plus) Solid understanding of motor control theory (FOC, Clarke/Park transforms, PID control) Experience with real-time systems and interrupt-driven architectures Familiarity with microcontroller peripherals (timers, ADC, DMA, PWM) Hands-on experience with debugging tools and lab instrumentation Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART) Ability to design systems from scratch and improve existing solutions Capability to read and interpret electronic schematics High level of autonomy, adaptability, and team collaboration Desirable Skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines applied to embedded firmware Knowledge of DevOps environments and server infrastructures Experience in industrial electronics products Familiarity with CANopen protocol Background in power electronics Interest or experience in AI/ML applications (e.g., NXP, STM32Cube AI) Experience with induction motors Knowledge in Certifications & Safety ISOs What We Offer Join a Thriving Company: Work for a rapidly growing and strategically positioned company.
