Our client is a privately-owned, innovative Performance Marketing company based in Amsterdam, currently employing 100+ dedicated professionals. The company is poised for significant growth and is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its next phase of development.
The role:
The CEO will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the company, guiding the development of new products, and making critical "make or buy" decisions regarding the adoption of new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong vision for the Performance Marketing market, be highly charismatic, and have the ability to effectively communicate their vision to the team, clients, and the broader market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth and innovation;
o Evaluate and make critical "make or buy" decisions for technology and product development;
o Ensure the company's vision and strategy are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
* Product Development:
o Guide the development of new, cutting-edge Performance Marketing products;
o Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
* Market and Client Relations:
o Strengthen and expand relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention;
o Actively engage in networking and market presence to enhance the company's profile and attract new business opportunities.
* Team Leadership:
o Inspire and lead a talented team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence;
o Mentor and develop the executive team to ensure they are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
* Financial and Operational Oversight:
o Oversee financial performance, ensuring the company meets its growth and profitability targets;
o Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
o Act as the primary spokesperson for the company, articulating the vision and strategy to investors, partners, and the media;
o Prepare the company for potential fundraising efforts in 3-5 years, focusing on private investors or strategic industry partners rather than traditional venture capital.
Requirements Requirements
* Proven experience as a CEO or in a senior executive leadership rolewithin the Performance Marketing (affiliate marketing, mobile marketing, lead generation etc.) industry;
* Experience in working with a founder that is still very much involved in the company;
* Strong strategic vision with a deep understanding of the performance marketing market and emerging trends;
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful growth strategies;
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence both internal teams and external stakeholders;
* Experience in guiding product development and making technology adoption decisions;
* A track record of strengthening client relationships and expanding market presence;
* Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and financial planning;
* Charismatic leader with a reputation for integrity and excellence;
