Job DescriptionEnfinity Global is looking for an Operations Manager for our new Composite Materials Recycling Plant located in Northern Portugal. This role is pivotal in leading the plant's start‐up phase and ensuring a smooth and successful commissioning and production process. As the key driver of day‐to‐day operations, this person will be responsible for establishing the foundations of operational excellence, safety, and efficiency in a pioneering facility that plays an essential role in Enfinity Global's long‐term sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‐to‐day production to ensure consistent and efficient operations
Monitor and improve operational KPIs
Drive continuous process optimization and best‐practice implementation
Manage feedstock supply and inbound material flows
Coordinate internal logistics and ensure efficient movement across the plant
Supervise overall internal flow performance and alignment with production needs
Ensure accurate stock control and traceability
Implement and improve logistics and warehousing methodologies
Lead cyclical inventory routines and reporting
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Prioritize critical interventions to ensure equipment availability and reliability
Maintain full documentation traceability aligned with Enfinity standards
Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
Promote a strong safety culture, including 5S and LOTO procedures
Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems
Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams
Manage shift structures and workforce planning
Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. Partner with IT, Simplification, and Finance departments as needed to ensure solutions are well integrated with the company's other needs and initiatives
Requirements
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering
10+ years in industrial operations roles, preferably in the automotive or related sector
Proven experience leading operational/plant teams. Experience in plant commissioning phases is highly valued
Strong knowledge of operations management and production planning
Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices
Expertise in inventory control and logistics processes
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Experience with ERP/MES systems and data analysis
Languages: English and Portuguese are required. Spanish is a plus
