Join our team as an Engineering Operations Trainee! In this role, you will be at the center of engineering department activity, supporting the management of simulation tool licenses, lab resources, design procedures, performance indicators, and data‑driven decision‑making. You’ll collaborate daily with teams across the organization, turning raw data into useful insights and ensuring our engineers have what they need to succeed. This is a unique opportunity to develop transversal skills, network with every department, and gain a holistic understanding of engineering operations in an international, multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update the central database of engineering software licenses: track usage, renewal dates, costs, and ensure every department has the tools and workstations they need for their projects.
* Assist the coordination of engineering laboratory logistics, helping to ensure resources and environments are always available and operating efficiently for engineering teams.
Process & Procedures Management
* Support the continuous improvement and updating of engineering design processes and procedures to guarantee systematic best practices and compliance with company standards.
* Develop, automate, and track operational and engineering performance indicators/KPIs (e.G., on‑time delivery, resource allocation, project progress, team metrics) using Excel (including macros) and Jira;
turn data into meaningful visual dashboards to support leadership decisions.
Strategic Operations Support
* Collaborate with the deployment of Make/Buy/Team strategies by assessing department needs and contributing to transversal projects alongside supply chain, procurement, and HR.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
* Act as a bridge between different engineering teams, project management, HR, and supply chain to understand and align needs, resources, and continuous improvement opportunities;
foster a collaborative,proactive working environment.
Data Analysis & Automation
* Leverage Excel and other tools to automate the transformation of raw operational data into actionable insights, supporting efficiency and informed decision‑making.
Education & Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Industrial Organization, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Physics). Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience : Previous internship or project experience in engineering support, operations, or process management is a plus, but not required!
Technical Skills
* Advanced Excel (including data processing, dashboards, and macros).
* Familiarity with Jira for project and resource tracking.
* Comfortable working with raw data, KPI reporting, and basic database management.
* Interest in operations, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
Personal Skills
* Highly organized, disciplined, and detail‑oriented in documentation and follow‑up.
* Strong team spirit, empathy, and initiative: able to work actively and connect with people across many departments.
* Proactive, problem‑solver, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus).
* Multicultural awareness and collaborative mindset.
