Overview
The ILS Manager role includes leading ILS development topics and acting as project manager for all ILS disciplines and related activities. The position supports offer preparation for new business opportunities and drives ILS set-up, milestone planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of ILS work packages (LSA, Tech Pubs, Obsolescence Management, Training). The role ensures customer requirements related to Services and ILS are respected and delivers on time, cost, and quality of all contractual Deliverables.
Responsibilities
* Act as project manager for all ILS disciplines and related activities.
* Support in the offer preparation phase for new business opportunities.
* ILS Management setup including milestone planning, coordination, monitoring, follow-up, and reporting of ILS work packages (LSA, Tech Pubs, Obsolescence Management, Training).
* Ensure customer requirements with respect to Services and ILS are respected.
* Deliver on time, on cost, and on quality of all contractual deliverables.
* Design To Support : strengthen the direct connection between services and engineering to influence system design for optimal serviceability.
* Coordinate with local ILS suppliers / subcontractors and organizations for startup of subcontracted activities.
* Manage suppliers for different ILS work packages (work package preparation, planning, periodic reporting meetings, quality checks on deliverables and related administrative documents).
* Review subcontractor’s technical scope.
* Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Managers, Customers).
* Coordinate entry into service phase with service transition teams.
* Provide periodic reporting to the international ILS team lead.
* Link and liaison with the ILS Team in Germany and Spain.
* Participation in Customer ILS progress meetings.
* Preparation for entry into Service : The ILS Manager is responsible for defining and implementing the service and support capability of Rohde & Schwarz for products, systems, and customer projects. The goal is to implement a service and support concept that meets the contractually agreed requirements from supply contracts for products, systems, and customer projects, as well as service contracts (e.g., Service Level Agreement).
* Identify and implement required service and support structures as well as capabilities.
* Implement contract details in SAP and C4C (contract number, support teams, KPIs, etc.).
* Initiating and monitoring the service-oriented material introduction, including subcontractor management.
* Create and maintain the Service Implementation Plan until handover to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM).
* Coordinate and initiate the creation and maintenance of the system bill of materials.
* Ensure spare parts availability within customer projects.
* Implement the training concept for internal and external service and support personnel.
* Participate in the FAT & FinAT to finalize service and support-related information.
* Conduct an end-to-end test of the defined service processes.
* Hand over and explain the defined service concept to the Service Delivery Manager and the Service and Support Structure.
* Contribute to the service product development process if necessary.
