Description As new R&D Electrical Engineer, you will join our Global Multi-Physic Simulation (GLOMUS) network team in the Swiss Technology Center of HITACHI-Energy. You will be part of a group of key people with specific expertise in the fields of electrical, structural, acoustic, thermo-mechanic and fluid-dynamics analyses, simulation and testing.As part of our global R&D community including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will contribute to support all factories in the PG Dry, Traction and Distribution Transformers on innovative and challenging research projects.You will focus on developing new technologies and products, optimizing existing ones and on supporting different engineering offices around the world.Your responsibilitiesStudy of current state of art in the field of 2D and 3D simulation of transformersAnalysis of performance of different parameters of dry transformers by means of 2D and 3D electromagnetic FEM calculationsDevelop new automations for the assessment of products through electromagnetic simulations coupled with structural, thermomechanical and acoustic simulationsRun feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products and simulate their expected performancesOrganize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/productsLead product and technology development projects in the field of Dry, Traction and Oil Distribution Transformer, delivering results on time and on budget at agreed scope and qualitySupport the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering department by writing design rules, preparing trainings and collaborating with design tools teamProvide technical support to other departments when needed (engineering, product management, marketing and sales etc.)Coaching, mentoring and supervising as well as training other engineers in your area of expertiseYour backgroundPhD / MSc education in Electrical Engineering fieldExisting work experience in Electrical Engineering with particular focus on transformer designAdvanced knowledge of transformer designand prediction of relevant performance such as leakage fields, stray losses, no-load losses, short-circuit forces, mutual inductances, and similarExperience in the finite element analysis and in the use of the following software:ANSYS, Maxwell, COMSOLExperience in electromechanical and electrothermal modeling toolsKnowledge of the following programming languages:Matlab, Visual BasicExperience in electric testing of transformersProven leadership skills as well as experience in coaching and training stakeholdersProject management skillspaired with an action and result oriented mindsetExcellent communication skills in English and team and innovation spiritWillingness to travel #J-18808-Ljbffr
