- Win, retain, and develop customers through active " hunting " and setting face-to-face sales appointments.
- Assess prospective accounts to secure profitable, strategic, or significant bids.
- Build rapport and trust by understanding customer needs and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with Product teams, sales channels, and Station Management to retain customers.
- Increase gross profit and market share by fostering relationships with new customers.
- Conduct rigorous follow-ups on offers, client development, and shipment losses.
- Perform ongoing customer and key account analysis.
- Execute strategic sales aligned with company growth plans and exceed targets.
- Report all sales activities in the CRM system (Sugar CRM) per SOP guidelines.
- Recommend customer-focused solutions using industry knowledge.
- Identify opportunities and manage risks to protect company interests.
- Participate in all Rhenus A&O; sales training sessions.
What You Bring:
- Requires a minimum of 1-3 years field sales in freight forwarding or two years of operational experience.
- Good working knowledge of freight forwarding services, including ocean and air, freight (import & export), consolidation.
- Demonstrated competence in conflict management, decision making and strategic planning.
- Strong hunter mentality / good communication and interpersonal skills/Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Ability to think out of the box (Entrepreneur).
- Strong work-ethic and integrity.
- Willingness to travel.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
