Experteer Overview In this role you design and build AI-native capabilities inside PostgreSQL to enable AI-powered applications. You will work on vector indexing, semantic and full-text search, and graph features, integrating them directly with the engine. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product teams, and AI researchers to deliver scalable, high-performance infrastructure. This position sits at the intersection of databases, distributed systems, and AI, shaping the developer experience for AI-enabled PostgreSQL workloads. - Design and implement AI-native capabilities in PostgreSQL (vector indexing, semantic/full-text search, hybrid search, graph queries)
- Own major AI-native subsystems from initial exploration to production readiness
- Develop high-performance extensions and core engine integrations in C, C++, or Rust
- Tackle high-ambiguity problems with experimental evaluation of tradeoffs
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and AI researchers to deliver scalable capabilities
- Contribute to end-to-end development including performance tuning, correctness, operability, and service integration
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and evolution of engineering standards
- Shaping developer experience through APIs, control plane integration, and extensibility
- Stay informed on AI indexing, graph systems, and database-AI convergence trendsResponsabilidades
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related field and equivalent experience or
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar engines at extension/indexing/query execution level
- Proven ability to design and deliver reliable, performant systems in a collaborative environment
