About BSC
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC‑CNS) is the leading supercomputing centre in Spain, hosting MareNostrum, one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers. BSC is a founding and hosting member of former EU HPC infrastructure PRACE, the host entity of EuroHPC JU, a Joint Undertaking that leads large‑scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The centre manages research, development, and information technology to facilitate scientific progress, combining HPC service provision and R&D; in computer and computational science across life, earth, and engineering sciences with a staff of over 1,000 from 60 countries.
Context and Mission
The Education and Training team coordinates activities and collaborations in High‑Performance Computing (HPC) with universities, research institutions and supercomputing centres at local, national and European levels. The role supports the development of next‑generation HPC professionals and Europe’s competitiveness in supercomputing. A central focus is the scientific training aspects of the AI Factory initiative. The successful candidate will help design, coordinate and deliver AI courses for professionals, students and scientists, ensuring high‑quality, ethical and accessible training content.
Key Duties
Coordinate foundational and specialised training for BSC scientific personnel in collaboration with researchers from all departments.
Oversee curriculum development, instructional design and harmonisation of training modules across participant groups.
Coordinate and support training events, seminars and meetings for various audiences at different levels.
Collaborate with universities to deliver student‑focused initiatives.
Monitor development progress, identify content gaps and align training efforts.
Work closely with internal BSC departments and external stakeholders.
Prepare documentation, reports, presentations and deliverables aligned with project milestones.
Support the design and implementation of the BSC training programme in line with evolving European strategies and project frameworks.
Support training delivery logistics in collaboration with the wider Education & Training team as needed.
Requirements
Education
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Computer Science, Project Management, Science Communication or similar).
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience managing training programmes, ideally in HPC, AI or emerging technologies.
Ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups (technical, academic, industrial, public sector).
Experience coordinating academic or technical events and training.
Strong time‑management skills, able to organise multiple activities in parallel.
Competence using office software to edit documents, create presentations and analyse data.
Competence in hosting and presenting during online and hybrid meetings.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience working in interdisciplinary environments or public‑private partnerships.
Experience in EU‑funded project environments or international collaborative projects.
Familiarity with HPC, digital skills training or higher‑education frameworks.
Fluency in Spanish and Catalan is a plus.

Detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to team‑based and cross‑institutional work.

Conditions
Position located at BSC within Directors Department.
Full‑time contract (37.5 h /week) with versátil hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets and private health insurance.
Holidays: 22 working days + 6 personal days + holidays on 24 th and 31 st December.
Salary competitive with qualifications and experience and according to the cost of living in Barcelona.
Starting date: as soon as possible.
