Job Responsibilities
1. Manage complex projects/programs with multiple targets, including phase II and phase III, and an annual budget exceeding 10M EUR.
2. Coordinate with the Project Leader to define strategic plans and scenarios internally and with partners.
3. Contribute to strategic discussions within the team and with the Project Leader.
4. Act as a backup for the Project Leader when necessary.
5. Monitor and analyze project critical paths, timelines, budgets, and actions to ensure project goals are met.
6. Innovate beyond existing methodologies to resolve complex problems critical to achieving objectives.
7. Ensure delivery within the area of responsibility, collaborating with other organizational parts.
8. Identify and resolve discrepancies in priorities, plans, and activities, bringing analytical thinking to cross-functional issues.
9. Manage project communication, including setting agendas, facilitating meetings, developing minutes, and distributing information appropriately.
10. Facilitate team dynamics in coordination with the Project Leader (System Coach).
11. Report and present project plans, risk management activities, and budget updates to decision-making bodies.
12. Develop and forecast the project budget, including long-term planning (annual, 5-year, and beyond).
13. Lead the process of securing public funding for the project.
14. Coordinate due diligence with potential partners and oversee BD&L development plans.
15. Mentor and advise Project Managers and Project Manager Associates.
16. Manage alliance activities from candidate to phase II and collaborate with the Corporate Alliance manager from phase III onwards.
17. Participate in activities within the R&D Project, Portfolio, Partnership Excellence Department as needed.
18. Contribute to the R&D Portfolio Review exercises and maintain benchmarking data for R&D productivity.

Education
* Bachelor’s or Ph.D. degree in biomedicine or related scientific fields.
* Certification in Project Management (completed or in progress).
