Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Target Achievement: Lead market sales targets for products like nab-paclitaxel (e.g., Abraxane generic) and injectables. Identify market opportunities and competitive challenges, gather primary market data, and develop marketing strategies and plans.
- Distributor Management: Manage distributors, track performance, conduct regular field visits with their KAMs across regions. Identify strengths and weaknesses, and guide distributors to gain higher market share.
- Value Assessment & Redistribution: Evaluate distributor value across all marketing functions (access, promotion, distribution, payment collection) to lay the foundation for renegotiating profit-sharing terms.
- Market Mapping: Research and map the value chain and drivers of the Spanish hospital and retail markets. Deliver a /"Hospital & Clinic Map for nab-paclitaxel in Spain/" and a list of purchasing groups (Central de Compras) with their coverage scope.
- Resource & Demand Mining: Continuously build distributor networks and identify unmet clinical and retail needs.
Requirements:
1. Legal & Compliance
- Fluent English (working language); native or C2 Spanish.
- Background in pharmacy, bioscience, or related fields preferred.
- No record of industry violations. Familiar with AEMPS compliance requirements.
2. Experience & Tender Expertise (Critical)
- 10+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including 5+ years of tender experience in the Spanish pharma industry (especially prescription/injectable drugs).
- Familiar with Spain's national healthcare tender process (e.g., SERMAS, regional bidding rules).
- Independently led provincial or national pharmaceutical tender projects in Spain – proficient in bid document preparation, pricing strategy, and compliance review.
- Oncology product marketing experience (especially injectable cytotoxics) strongly preferred.
3. Local Network
- Established contacts within Spain's public healthcare system (hospital pharmacy departments, procurement bodies, health authorities) and major pharmaceutical distributors.
4. End-to-End Capability
- Able to drive new product launches and coordinate supply chain (import customs clearance, warehousing, distribution).
5. Cross-Cultural Adaptability
- Basic cross-cultural communication skills; understands and accommodates the working rhythm and expectations of a Chinese headquarters.
