Job Title: JR Internal Audit Manager
Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid
Job Description
Group Internal Audit plays a vital role in supporting Galderma’s journey toward sustainable success. Recognizing that risk-taking is essential to achieving strategic goals, our guiding principle is that “risks are best managed before we take them.” This proactive approach ensures that the Board and Executive Management receive assurance not only on how risks are managed during strategy execution, but also on the robustness of decision-making processes that underpin responsible and informed risk-taking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit and advisory assignments that assess the effectiveness of decision-making and risk management processes critical to Galderma’s long-term success.
- Provide assurance on the sustainability of business performance by evaluating how risks are identified, assessed, and addressed across the organization.
- Analyze and report on the root causes of both successful outcomes and performance gaps in achieving strategic objectives.
- Plan, execute, and deliver high-quality audits in alignment with Galderma’s Group Internal Audit methodology, standards, and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate across business functions to gain transversal exposure and ensure a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance the quality and impact of decision-making processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (FMCG experience is also valued).
- Fluent in English;
proficiency in anadditional language is a strong asset.
- 5–10 years of diverse business experience in areas such as finance, operations, or commercial functions.
- Audit/Finance/IT profiles: Experience in internal or external audit, ideally within a global organization or a leading accountancy firm.
- Business profiles: Hands-on experience in core value chain functions (e.G., commercial operations, manufacturing, R&D;), preferably in life sciences or FMCG sectors.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is a plus—or a strong interest in pursuing it.
What we offer in return
Joining Internal Audit offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your professional growth across any career path. You’ll gain strong business acumen through cross-functional collaboration and develop a strategic mindset by viewing the business through the lens of multiple stakeholders. The role sharpens your leadership skills through peer coaching and change management, while also enhancing your executive presence through regular engagement with senior leaders. You’ll build project management capabilities by leading audits that deliver real value, and strengthen your problem-solving skills by identifying root causes of both success and failure. Additionally, you’ll refine your communication style—learning to deliver clear, persuasive messages—and improve your decision-making by evaluating risks and opportunities that impact organizational objectives.
