Strategic Marketing Director (market insights/BI)

Our client, a leading company in the food and FMCG sector, is seeking a Strategic Marketing Director (M/F) with a solid background in FMCG and a passion for market intelligence, strategic branding, and customer-focused innovation.
The candidate should be able to translate data into strategic decisions, strengthen brand positioning, and lead innovation across various business units and markets.
Main Objectives of the Role:
* Lead market research (trends, products, customers, competitors) and identify business opportunities.
* Implement a Business Intelligence approach to support strategic planning and operations.
* Execute the company’s commercial strategy by promoting customer centricity and new product development aligned with brand values.
* Review and update the product launch process and lead successful market entries.
* Define and drive the company’s communication strategy in coordination with the corporate communication team.
* Lead and implement the brand strategy globally.
* Support the preparation of country-level commercial plans with sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and lead a market research framework to analyze trends, customer behavior, and competition.
* Establish reporting and analysis systems to support decision-making.
* Lead the NPD process and coordinate cross-functional teams for new product launches.
* Define milestones, KPIs, testing protocols, and launch deliverables.
* Define and lead external and internal communication strategies.
* Collaborate with sales teams for strategic planning at the country level.
* Drive brand development and ensure consistency across units.
Candidate Profile:
* University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or similar.
* Postgraduate studies in Strategic Marketing or related fields preferred.
* 8+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles within FMCG.
* Strong background in digital and omnichannel strategy, e-commerce, and content marketing.
* P&L responsibility and investment optimization experience.
* Experience reporting to senior executives or C-level stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies:
* Expert knowledge of Market Insights and Business Intelligence.
* Experience in Strategic Brand Development.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience working with high-performance teams and senior management.
* Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, and creativity.
* Strong business acumen and passion for value creation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and AI tools.
* Fluent in Spanish and English; French or other languages are a plus.
* Flexible, self-motivated, and autonomous.
