Laboratory Coordination
The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is offering two laboratory support positions for the Laboratory Coordination Unit. This unit is responsible for maintaining common areas and laboratories at VHIR.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
* Intermediate Vocational Training (FPI/CFGM), preferably in a health-related field.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
* Minimum 6 months of experience performing laboratory assistant tasks in a healthcare institution.
* Knowledge of the organisation and operation of a laboratory or equivalent facility.
* Experience with autoclave use.
* Soft skills: Teamwork, Commitment, Flexibility, Customer orientation, Communication.
Main responsibilities and duties:
* Provide support during the preventive maintenance shutdown of the common culture rooms by performing cleaning tasks of laboratory equipment and materials.
* Maintain optimal hygiene and sterilization conditions daily for all materials used in the laboratories (collect, clean, sterilize, and distribute materials).
* Ensure the daily operation of the cleaning rooms under their responsibility (autoclave, Milli-Q and Elix systems), as well as the organization of shared VHIR equipment and rooms (freezers, developers, cold rooms, and cleaning storage).
* Carry out the assigned activities according to established procedures and, when necessary, participate in their updating.
* Ensure that activities are performed in accordance with the requirements established by the Unit’s quality system procedures, promoting and implementing continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.
Labour conditions:
* Full-time position: 40h/week (from 7:30h to 16:30h)
* Starting date: July 2025
* Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
* Contract: 2 temporary positions (from 14 of July to 10 of September 2025).
