Job Description
A vacancy for an ESCAN Radar & DASS System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the TADME1 Eurofighter Electronic Warfare and Radar Team and take over several tasks within the team depending on program needs, including equipment management and documentation reviews, support to national activities and clearances, continuous learning on the systems and their future upgrades, and Spanish customer consultancy.
Responsibilities
Support the Mk1 Radar Equipment Development, Engineering and Integration/Testing activities.
Support DASS documentation review, integration activities and impact analysis on other aircraft systems.
Review and approve supplier documentation.
Identify and support the resolution of equipment, integration, certification and quality issues.
Liaise with and coordinate other stakeholders.
Support equipment engineering activities within the team.
Resolve technical inquiries from the military customer, the SUZ, the supplier or other Eurofighter partner companies.
Travel regularly for system integration testing and meetings at AJT in Warton.
Maintain awareness of potential compliance risks and act with integrity.
Required Skills and Experience
Degree (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or a related field.
More than 5 years of experience working in an engineering department.
Experience with at least one of the following systems: Avionic systems, airborne sensors (Radar, IFF, FLIR), airborne defensive aids systems, communication systems and data links, electronic warfare systems.
Experience in writing technical documentation (e.g., reports).
Team‐working spirit and good communication skills.
Willingness to work temporarily at the aircraft and/or at the (sub‐)system integration rig, either in Spain or abroad.
Capability to execute activities independently and under your own responsibility.
Security clearance up to NATO SECRET required.
Good knowledge of equipment engineering, preferably Eurofighter processes.
Good system and requirements engineering know‐how.
Knowledge of the aeronautic/space/defence industry is an advantage.
Experience and know‐how about radar is desirable.
Cooperative, self‐empowered, and independent ways of working.
Negotiation level of English is required.

Experience with COMMS systems.
Experience with datalinks.
Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
