**The role will be based either in Madrid or Barcelona.****About the Role**As a **Visual Journalist**, you will:- Process daily content, editing and script writing in English- Provide creative storytelling ideas- React quickly to breaking news- Create and maintain visual planning entries for the day-to-day schedules as well as for long-term planning- Demonstrate your enthusiasm for Spanish news and culture to infuse stories with local flavour- Identify news stories and interesting story angles, coordinating between visuals and text teams sometimes across the region- Collaborate closely with Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon bureaus and production teams in London- Tackle stories from a diversity of viewpoints, experiences, and perspectives.- Travel, on occasion, to back up bureau in other countries**About You**To be our **Visual Journalist**, you will likely have:- Excellent news judgement and a passion to deliver stories to our clients- Ability to write scripts with a high level of English- Ability to use a video camera is a bonus but not a must have- Grit, the ability to think on your feet and deliver despite challenging conditions- Eagerness to participate in planning and organisation of news stories- Creativity - that special touch that can make our story telling stand out- Be calm under pressure and enthusiastic- Strong team player, able to collaborate with text and photos across multiple offices- Bilingual level of spoken and written English, high level of Spanish with Portuguese or any other European language a bonusLI-KK1**What's in it for you**At Reuters, our people are our greatest assets.
