Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a Business Developer to join the Sales Department of the FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) Business Unit, based in Zamudio or other Ingeteam campuses.
Mission: To develop business and markets across various areas as part of the existing commercial department, reporting to the commercial management within a multidisciplinary team that promotes a culture of learning, empowerment, and synergies with other business units and sectors within the organization.
Main responsibilities include
• Leading the preparation of technical and financial proposals, providing the best product/service/system solutions, facilitating the development of partnerships, and promoting the sale of solutions that meet the needs and requirements of clients.
• Developing business, promoting solutions, and visiting clients (IPP, TSO, DSO, etc.) to increase international sales of Power Electronics (EdP) and Rotating Machinery (MR) systems in GRID and RENEWABLE sectors.
• Leading the preparation of offers, negotiating terms and conditions, and closing sales contracts for the proposed solutions.
• Collaborating in the technical development of solutions for offers and in the selection of partners/suppliers.
• Establishing and maintaining sustainable customer relationships by anticipating and understanding their needs for FACTS solutions (Statcom, power flow control, storage, synchronous compensators, etc.).
• Managing accounts, developing and executing a client visit plan, mapping out each client’s decision-making structure, strengthening communication channels, and fostering strong relationships with key client departments.
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar.
• High level of English (C1).
• A second language, preferably French, is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) networks environment; FACTS and renewables experience is a plus.
• Experience leading public tenders and international bids for the supply and commissioning of FACTS-type solutions.
• Familiarity with international contractual models such as FIDIC, especially with multinational Utilities and IPPs; legal knowledge related to contract generation will be valued.
• Availability for international travel.
• The role requires a proactive person with teamwork skills, flexibility, strong communication abilities, high learning capacity, and problem-solving skills.
