Roles and Responsibilities
* Chase, allocate (premiums and taxes), monitor, and report overdue premiums to the Credit Control Manager.
* Liaise with local Financial Operation teams and underwriting departments to assist with premium collection or renewals of business with outstanding debt.
* Monitor Aged Debt, reacting to changes and trends internally and externally.
* Identify gaps in credit control practices and systems, implementing improvements and updating procedures.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate proactively with European branches regarding allocation and collection processes.
* Assist in producing weekly credit control reports and analyses for Starr companies.
* Manage the issuance of monthly statements to brokers and coordinate with the business on outstanding premiums, if required.
* Support the development and implementation of new reports in line with company and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to the development of credit control systems and understand booking system operations.
* Assist in producing weekly cash collection analysis reports.
* Assist with investigation and allocation of received cash and unallocated bank deposits.
* Ensure proper declaration, entry, and splitting of taxes for each cash allocation.
* Follow up on outward payments, ensuring invoice alignment with allocations.
* Administer lead fee invoices and VAT declarations within the finance team.
Experience
* 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of credit control processes, reconciliation, and reporting.
* Experience with Lloyd’s / London Market / Continental Europe processing arrangements.
* Experience in building and maintaining credit control procedures and systems.
* Understanding of underwriting processes, controls, and systems.
