Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Crypto and Equities Trader to perform in-depth technical and fundamental analysis, execute trades, and manage risks across our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crypto trading, with additional experience in equities and commodities being highly advantageous. This role requires a proactive individual who can operate independently while aligning with our family's investment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical analysis on cryptocurrencies, equities, commodities, and related assets using charting tools, indicators, and market data.
- Perform fundamental analysis to evaluate investment opportunities in crypto, AI, biotech, and other sectors, including assessing market trends, financial statements, and economic indicators.
- Execute trades efficiently across various platforms, ensuring optimal entry/exit points and adherence to predefined strategies.
- Implement robust trading risk management practices, including position sizing, stop-loss orders, diversification, and portfolio monitoring to mitigate potential losses.
- Monitor general markets, news, and events impacting our investment themes, providing timely recommendations and reports.
- Collaborate with the family office team on portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and performance reviews.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, particularly in crypto and international markets, to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional experience in finance, trading, or investment management.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on trading experience, with proven expertise in cryptocurrency trading.
- Strong proficiency in technical analysis (e.g., candlestick patterns, moving averages, RSI, MACD) and fundamental analysis (e.g., valuation metrics, economic forecasting).
- Demonstrated knowledge of trading risk management principles and tools.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
- Based in Spain; Barcelona preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience trading equities and/or commodities.
- Familiarity with investment themes in AI, biotech, or similar innovative sectors.
- Proficiency with trading platforms (e.g., Binance, Coinbase, Bloomberg) and analytical software.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA, CAIA, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Location and Work Arrangement
- This is a full-time position based in Spain, with a strong preference for Barcelona. Remote work within Spain may be considered for exceptional candidates, but proximity to Barcelona is ideal for occasional in-person collaboration.
