**Community Mental Health Agents (AC-SM) in support**

**of young migrant people**

**Psychiatry Service (Transcultural Psychiatry Program)**

Two community Mental Health Agents (AC-SM) are required for the pilot project “Implementation of
Community Mental Health Agents (AC-SM) in support of young migrant people”. This project, developed by
the Transcultural Psychiatry Program (Psychiatry Unit in HUVH), is based in the training of two young ex
- tutored migrant people as AC-SM and their incorporation in a residential centre for young unaccompanied
ex-tutored migrants, where they will develop mental health prevention and promotion activities to the
vulnerable young people living in the centre. These two AC-SM will be part of an interdisciplinary team and
will work under tutoring and supervision.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Residence Permit
- Complementary training in mental health and migrations.
- Fluency in Spanish and the native language of the young people in the centre (Arabic / Mandinga / Wolof)

**Desired**:

- Knowledge of Catalan and English will be considered.

- Having lived in a tutorized centre of the Protection System in Catalonia.
- Communication and dynamization skills.

**Desired**:

- Engagement and interlocutor skills with the target population and the support teams.
- Knowledge about the needs of the target population and about the community services.

**Main responsibilities and duties**:

- Prevention and promotion of mental health through participatory activities.
- Dynamization of psychoeducational workshops.
- Analysis and detection of needs among young people in the residential centre.
- Early detection of mental health problems.
- Destigmatization of mental health.
- Support for mental health and social care teams.
- Participation in interdisciplinary teams.

**Labour conditions**:

- Part-time position: 10h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: 3.621,29 euros
