Their software supports decision making at the heart of some of the most recognised FMCG brands in the world. Visualfabriq is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates with a local entity in Spain.
To support further growth Visualfabriq is expanding its engineering team in Spain. All roles are fully remote. You will be employed directly by Visualfabriq Spain under a local contract.
About the role
This is a senior position for an experienced engineer who wants to shape technology direction and team maturity within a fast growing product company. As Lead Python Developer you will take the lead on architecture backend development and delivery standards within one of Visualfabriq s product units.
You will work closely with senior leadership and guide other developers across teams. The company is preparing for international expansion including entry into the US market and broader use of AI across its platform. You will help create the systems and structures to support that growth.
This role is suited for someone who enjoys both building and coaching. You bring structure clarity and high standards and you understand how to scale software in complex environments.
What you will do
Lead the design and development of scalable backend services in Python
Define coding patterns delivery standards and system architecture
Support and mentor developers across multiple teams and levels
Align engineering work with product goals and company strategy
Improve consistency in how teams test deploy and document backend code
Take ownership of core components in a data intensive enterprise product
Act as a peer to technical leadership and contribute to long term planning
What Visualfabriq is looking for
At least seven years of experience in backend development
Strong Python skills and deep architectural understanding
Hands on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure containerisation and CI pipelines
Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a product driven setup
Good communicator who works well across roles and departments
Fluent in English with clear written and spoken communication
Based in Spain with full legal work eligibility
