About the role:
The technical engineering role provides engineering expertise and value selling support to Sales based on extensive technical knowledge and experience in the Industrial market. This role supports field-based technical service needs.
The engineer develops and details the value proposition for new sales opportunities and helps prevent the loss of existing business under competitive threat.
Key Accountabilities:
* Demonstrate safety leadership and ensure HSSE standards are maintained
* Support internal and external customers as an industrial application expert
* Assist sales teams in acquiring new business
* Provide technical training to partners
* Work with sales to deliver solutions to customer issues using sound problem-solving techniques
* Collaborate with Technology and Marketing on new product development and field feedback
* Coordinate with Global Product Managers to align local market needs
* Document case studies highlighting benefits of Castrol products and services
* Conduct field testing of new and reformulated products
* Participate in projects supporting industrial strategy
* Mentor and train less experienced salespeople and engineers
* Analyze Used Oil Analysis reports to inform decisions
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Lubrication, Manufacturing, or related engineering field
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of industrial technical experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and related tools
* Expertise in Metalworking fluids and High-Performance Lubricants
* Strong value selling and social skills
* Knowledge of sustainability practices (energy savings, water reuse, net zero) preferred
* Skilled in structured problem-solving techniques
