OpsTech Solutions manages all IT infrastructure and end-user equipment across Amazon's global network. The team is responsible for end-to-end solutions including lifecycle management, change control, demand planning, material management, RMA, and liquidation. Our initiatives support the physical fulfillment of customer orders, including managing new site launches worldwide that directly impact shipping to millions of Amazon customers.
We are seeking an operations engineer capable of collaborating across multiple teams to improve processes. The role involves designing factory layouts, workstations, and material flow, diagnosing processes, identifying improvements, and guiding implementation efforts.
This position may require up to 20% travel.Key job responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate warehouse processes to identify optimization opportunities.Collaborate with supply chain teams to develop and implement process improvements.Apply lean principles, Six Sigma, and other tools to enhance operations and reduce costs.Conduct studies and analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Develop SOPs to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.Review material handling equipment and layouts using CAD software.Perform ergonomic assessments and prepare evaluation reports.Assist with ERP system validation and process design.Manage process improvement projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project success.Develop project plans, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.Establish KPIs to measure process performance.Communicate findings through reports, dashboards, and presentations.A day in the life

5+ years of experience as an industrial, operations, manufacturing, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.Experience managing third-party vendors.Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
