The Category Manager keeps a constant watch on the market and carries out market analyses in order to gather extensive and relevant information, enabling him/her to determine tomorrow's trends and areas of development for the perfume creation and sales process. Reporting directly to the local General Manager (5 employees in Barcelona) and functionnaly to the Corporate Maarketing Director (France), the category manager will work on all the existing categories in the markets covered by the subsidiary : Is aware of and anticipates market needs: monitors and analyses the categories in the markets in the subsidiary's portfolio, plays an active role in the annual market reviews (global and regional) conducted by head office. Provides feedback on expectations and needs (creation, application laboratory, R&D, etc.). Develops sales support tools proactively or at the sales manager's request (brief): olfactory pyramids, trends & concepts, market reviews, technical arguments, recommendations. Carries out ad hoc studies and makes marketing presentations to customers. Works proactively and transparently with the marketing teams at head office: shares the information gathered, ensures the effective application of the company's marketing strategy and process. Participates in identifying the development strategy for product categories.
