Your role and the team
As a Business Controller Internship, you have a important role in the profitability and financial analysis for the business operations of the company. The Business Controller Internship is mainly working on the monthly reporting and analysis of internal and HQ requested information. Besides all that, you work close with the accounting department to ensure solid month‑end processes. The Business Controller Internship will report directly to the Head of Controlling Leasing. You are
A determined and agile person with Economic studies background and with ambition and determination to learn and to grow professionally. A result‑oriented and accurate professional with good organizational and planning skills who is capable of working independently as well as in (project) teams. Previous experience as a controller is not required but is a nice‑to‑have.
What do we expect from you
Support in critical areas such as Monthly Closing, Planning, Forecasting and Profitability analysis;
Provide timely and accurate delivery of month end reporting (internal and corporate);
Support during budget process, rolling forecasts and reporting to Management and HQ.
Working close to the Accounting team to ensure solid month‑end closing;
On a monthly basis, perform accurate, timely and complete reports required by the Management and from HQ, ensuring quality and qualitative analysis (for Netherlands, Benelux and Conso level);
Lead continuous improvement of Internal and Corporate Reporting, driving additional automation in monthly reporting;
Produce Analytical Accounting and other profitability reports;
Ensure compliance and implementation of Corporate policies, processes and tools;
Participate in Company projects;
You have
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree;
The skills to communicate properly with stakeholders in the company (informal and presentations) and have an attitude of focusing on the results;
Good command of English (spoken and written) is essential, good command of Dutch (spoken and written) is preferred;
The ability to identify bottlenecks and take the initiative to improve processes;
Good command of Microsoft Excel;
Knowledge of SQL, Power BI is an advantage.
