Overview
Job Description We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help customers find solutions for mobility technology development. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs and offer technical solutions, visit customer sites, and prepare sales proposals.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to provide technical solutions and prepare sales quotes.
- Maintenance of internal Sales systems (SFDC, calculations, etc).
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with customers.
- Present AVL’s project approach to customers, both online and in person.
- Ensure customers have a great experience throughout the sales process.
- Stay up-to-date with technology.
- Work in a cross industry rapidly-growing team.
Profile Description / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or similar fields).
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts related to automotive software, simulation, or testing.
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish (Required).
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your workload independently.
- Comfortable working with customers and solving problems. Open to travel (~10%).
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Knowledge of the automotive industry or sales experience.
- Experience in negotiation.
- Interest in new technologies as e-mobility, ADAS/AD or Cybersecurity is a plus.
- Powertrain design/calibration background.
