Technical Services & Training Manager – Special Hazards EMEA
What you will do
Manage the EMEA-wide Special Hazards Technical Services team, providing product training, technical support, field services, and audits to customers and the Fire Suppression Products (FSP) business.
Lead and develop a multi-skilled team to enhance training materials, prioritize field service and audit activities aligned with sales, and deliver top-tier technical support. Collaborate with wider technical teams and key business functions to ensure effective communication, deploy metrics, and demonstrate value to FSP and its customers. Work with the Director to develop a future strategy for FSP Technical Services in EMEA.
One team offering and development:
* Support proper installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and QA of products and systems in the field.
* Provide user support and training for in-house developed technical design software.
* Offer sales and technical support on design, installation, and maintenance of products and systems.
* Conduct online and live training sessions for internal and external audiences, focusing on application, design, installation, and maintenance, driving revenue and customer satisfaction.
* Provide design services including basic designs and calculations in accordance with industry standards.
How you will do it
* Translate organizational goals into specific tasks for team members.
* Create and implement individual development plans.
* Handle recruitment, development, and daily coordination within the department.
* Manage expenses, monitor technical support levels, and develop technical knowledge across the organization.
* Oversee training activities, develop training content, and manage trainer development.
* Ensure the availability of training materials and samples.
* Develop market-relevant training content for various formats.
* Monitor training revenue and ensure proper pricing and handling via ERP systems.
* Develop processes and tools for design and field services, and drive revenue growth.
* Manage design and cost calculations, and monitor related revenue.
* Improve tools, processes, and standards related to design services.
* Manage CAD library and component database with strict revision control.
* Create sales support tools, lead large projects, and coordinate team activities.
* Monitor project progress, lead project meetings, and initiate improvements to systems and databases.
* Oversee software used for design services, support sales efforts, and ensure training support functions are maintained.
