Fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Spain with a Master of Law degree or higher.
Ten (10) or more years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally in an in-house environment, preferably in Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment sectors.
Native in Spanish.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Reporting Line
The role is part of the Global Legal Department (GLD) and reports directly to the Regional Legal Team (Iberia & Italy, Middle East & Anglophone Africa Region).
Job Responsibilities
* Oversee and deliver all legal services for the zone, including domestic and international bids, commercial contract review, and collaboration with regional legal teams.
* Provide legal advice on areas such as leased & property matters, general commercial transactions, and product and quality issues.
* Negotiate contracts and deals on behalf of the company.
* Manage claims, litigation, and oversee reporting.
* Support transversal activities within the zone and assist other regional legal team members as needed.
* Ensure compliance with rules and regulations, guiding managers accordingly.
Key Accountabilities
* Support local commercial and procurement functions with contractual matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements.
* Develop policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs.
* Maintain and update contractual records and monitor contract compliance.
* Manage pre-litigation situations and disputes/litigation processes.
* Participate in legal training activities.
Skills
* Deep understanding of in-house legal operations and a passion for Schneider Electric's business.
* Ability to analyze critical business issues and deliver legal solutions and mitigations.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
* Experience with international and multidisciplinary teams.
